At the beginning of the school year in Kostroma, a children’s technology park “Kvantorium” will be opened on the basis of school No. 36 – the mayor’s office reports. It will be the second such institution in the city. The first technology park appeared in December 2018 on Locomotive Street.
Four laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology and technology will be created in the new institution. Computers, a microscope, equipment for creating 3-D models, training machines for laser cutting, wood and metal processing were purchased for them.
It is expected that this “Quantorium” will be visited by 100 schoolchildren. In 2025, their number will double.
Classes in technology parks are free and are designed for children from 10 to 18 years old. Schoolchildren write computer programs, design robots, create quadcopters and engage in 3D modeling.
