In SSNU of Kostroma region, the admission control numbers for some specialties have been seriously adjusted – the Department of Education and Science reports.
So, for the next academic year, admissions for the professions of cook and confectioner are reduced by 67%, by 50% – for accountants, and by 41% – for trade.
At the same time, a similar indicator for scarce specialties needed by the region has increased. So, in September, it is planned to hire 80% more locksmiths, 50% more electricians, and 4% more welders. By 200%, the numbers of acceptance for operators – adjusters of metalworking machines have increased.
“12 new professions and specialties have been opened in the pro-production system for chemical, metalworking, and light industry enterprises,” the press release of the administration specifies.
We remind you that the administration of the region has been dealing with issues of personnel training for the real needs of the economy for the past few years. Before that, for a long time, colleges and technical schools continued to oversaturate the labor market with undemanding specialties.
Help: a total of 27 colleges and technical schools operate in the Kostroma region. More than 16,000 students study there.
